I'll pose a question to you, that someone said to me, "What is the difference between faith and belief?"
Sheesh, I didn't really know how to describe the difference!
Picture this.
You're standing on the edge of a table. The back of your heel can feel the egde, but you have full control of the situation. You see the full table in front of you, and notice it's only a few feet off the ground.
I walk behind you, and ask, "Do you believe I'm behind you?"
What would you say? Well, Goodness, I'd say yes! I can hear ya! No biggie.
Okay, scenario #2.
You're on the table again, I'm behind you once more.
Here's the question, "Do you have faith that I'm behind you?" What would you say?
Well, don't insult my intelligence, yes I know you're there!
"Okay, fall back and I'll catch you"
Here's the catch.... What would you say?
Would you fall back?
That my friends is the difference between belief and faith.
Faith is an action word, it means we take our belief and DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!
If you're like me, this made you ponder how much of your faith is actually belief?
I had to evaulate how much I act in faith, or if I just was passive and believed.
I know that our Heavenly Father requires faith in Jesus Christ in order for us to return to live with him someday.
Do you BELIEVE in Jesus Christ, or have FAITH in Jesus Christ?
